Cherries are a source of iron, copper, sodium, manganese, potassium, phosphorus, calcium and contain vitamins A, C and K and a small amount of B vitamins. They have therapeutic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. They contain many valuable antioxidants, including anthocyanins. Bioflavonoids contained in them eliminate free radicals and slow down the aging process. Regular consumption of cherries and its preserves helps cleanse the body, stimulates metabolism and the secretion of digestive juices. Cherry fruit is effectively used in the treatment of kidney stones and bladder diseases. Cherries strengthen the work of the heart muscle and prevent cardiovascular diseases and regulate the acid-base balance in the body.
