Description

Chicory (Cichorum Intybus) dried herb 100g

It is one of the most popular wild plants. The traveller chicory can be found all over Europe, North Africa and Central Asia. She also settled in North America, Australia, and New Zealand. So, it covers a large part of the globe and maybe this is where the second part of its botanical name comes from.
There is also a large group of naturalists who say that this plant grows most often along the road, and this genesis of the name traveller seems simpler.
The substances present in chicory herb have a beneficial effect on the digestive system. They stimulate the stomach and duodenum to secrete digestive juices, which is why they are helpful in cases of indigestion and outbreak of these organs. They also support the proper secretion of bile through the liver and the functioning of the gallbladder. Not only that, but they improve the flow of bile, thus preventing the formation of gallstones. Leaf extracts used in the studies showed a protective effect on the liver and prevented it’s damage by free radicals. Chicory ingredients support the removal of pollutants from the blood, bile ducts, urinary tract and kidneys through their diuretic action. They also have a positive effect on the nervous system and show a slight sedative effect.
