Sodium butyrate FORTE 1200 mg capsules are food for special medical purposes in the form of micropellets containing sodium butyrate. Microencapsulation involves enclosing the active ingredient molecules in a special coating that protects them from external factors. Butyric acid belongs to the group of short-chain fatty acids. Under physiological conditions, it is produced in the large intestine through bacterial fermentation of dietary fiber. It provides the primary energy source for colonocytes – the cells of the intestinal epithelium. Sodium butyrate is indicated for gastrointestinal disorders and intestinal diseases.

Ingredients
Sodium butyrate standardized to 80% butyric acid, thickener: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, capsule shell: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.

How to use
The capsule should be swallowed whole with water. It is best to take it with a meal.
Recommended daily intake:
Adults: Take 1 capsule orally twice daily, morning and evening. Recommended use: for at least 3 months. Children over 7 years of age: Take 1 capsule orally once daily, preferably in the evening. Recommended use: for at least 6 weeks. Depending on individual needs, your doctor may recommend different doses.

Do not use in children with swallowing disorders or who have difficulty swallowing capsules.
