Flor de Arena from Peru (for Gout and General Wellness)
The botanical Latin name of the Peruvian herb Flor de Arena is Tiquilia paronychioides. The Spanish name Flor de Arena translates into English as “Sand Flower”. Another local name used in Peru is Hierba Blanca, meaning “White Herb”.
It grows wild along the Peruvian Pacific coastline as well as in the Andes mountains. It is a very small, delicate plant which, once dried, naturally turns into a fine powdered form. Its traditional use in Peru is as ancient as that of well-known Amazonian herbs such as Vilcacora and Manayupa.
